Detoxification, Rehabilitation, and Psychiatry: Integrated Care Advancing Recovery
At Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital (SBELIH), we are proud to offer one of Suffolk County’s most respected inpatient behavioral health programs. If you—or someone you care about—are considering treatment for substance use or mental health challenges, we are here to support you.
We recognize the strength it takes to seek help, and we honor that courage. Our multidisciplinary team—comprising board-certified physicians, nurses, alcoholism and substance use counselors, social workers, creative arts therapists, and dietitians—works collaboratively to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Through a thoughtful integration of medical care, psychology, and evidence-based behavioral therapies, we support patients on their journey toward recovery and well-being.
Our inpatient services provide comprehensive, compassionate care within a safe and therapeutic environment. Treatment includes detoxification, rehabilitation, and psychiatric care, with medication-assisted treatment available for opioid and alcohol use disorders as well as mental health conditions. All services are accredited by The Joint Commission and licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health and/or the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports.
