In addition to the current National Suicide Hotline, there will be the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline “988” that will be available by dialing or texting on July 16, 2022. The current Lifeline phone number (1-800-273-8255) will always remain available to people in emotional distress or suicidal crisis, even after 988 is launched nationally. Please share this information with anyone who may need support.
