Addiction Medicine Fellowship Overview

The Stony Brook Medicine Addiction Medicine Fellowship is a transformative program designed to advance the science and practice of addiction medicine through innovative education, compassionate patient care, and impactful research. Rooted in Stony Brook Medicine’s core values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence, our fellowship is dedicated to developing future leaders who are committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. Fellows will spend three months in an outpatient clinic and one day weekly throughout the year working alongside experienced addiction specialists. These immersive experiences, reinforced by six months of inpatient rotations, prepare fellows to provide culturally sensitive, individualized care to patients at all stages of treatment and with co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions.
