Established in 2006, the Eastern Long Island Hospital Foundation (ELIHF) is the fundraising and communications arm of Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital. A separate, not-for-profit corporation, the Foundation seeks to heighten awareness, promote goodwill and maximize private philanthropy to advance and strengthen the mission and vision of Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital.
The mission of Eastern Long Island Hospital Foundation (ELIHF) is to develop and manage all resources and assets of the Foundation in support of Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital’s mission and goals. Contributions of all amounts are valued and appreciated by our entire hospital family who are committed to providing compassionate, high quality care to residents of and visitors to the East End of Long Island.
All of the Foundation's philanthropic efforts are independent of Stony Brook Medicine, and all funds raised by the Foundation remain local to benefit SBELIH in Greenport. SBELIH is one campus of the SBM system. All hospitals fundraise to enhance services, attract physicians and healthcare professionals, and to build infrastructure for current and future healthcare needs.
The Foundation promotes participation in developing and maintaining a positive relationship between our community, healthcare providers and the hospital.
