GREENPORT, NY, September 29, 2022 - The Eastern Long Island Hospital (ELIH) Foundation Board Member and North Fork realtor, Sheri Winter Parker, teamed up with Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital (SBELIH) as Presenting Sponsors for three East End parties and a high-end shopping event.
Winter Parker brings a wealth of experience, background, and philanthropy to ELIH Foundation to help strengthen the mission and vision of Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital. As Presenting Sponsors for Best of North Fork, The Nork Fork Wine & Fork Classic and JamBarge, Winter Parker and SBELIH’s goals were to pay it forward to all of the businesses who support SBELIH and make the community a unique destination.
“These events were huge successes,” said philanthropist Sheri Winter Parker. “And, a great extension of the boundless community support and commitment we have surrounding Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital.”
Best of the North Fork at RG/NY was held on August 4th. The annual event is a celebration of the best the North Fork has to offer in food, drink, arts and local businesses, as chosen by the Northforker’s editorial team and readers. The event honored the winners of northforker’s Best of the North Fork.
The North Fork Wine & Fork Classic at Borghese Vineyard in Cutchogue was on September 1st. It was a showcase for the North Fork’s well known purveyors and served as both a toast to the end of summer and the start of something new.
On Saturday, September 3rd, JamBarge in Pipes Cove in Greenport, featured a floating concert to benefit CAST, a North Fork charity serving low-income individuals and families. Boaters and kayakers enjoyed live music throughout the day.
Sheri Winter Parker hosted “Shopping at THE SHOALS” with fashion icon Linda Fargo of Bergdorf Goodman, on August 27th and 28th. The shopping event featured designer apparel, shoes, and accessories from “Linda’s Lightly Loved Closet” and attracted numerous shoppers, including businesswoman and television personality Martha Stewart. A portion of the proceeds were donated to the Eastern Long Island Hospital Foundation. The event raised $3,500 for the Foundation and was matched by Winter Park for a total of $7,000.
