Greenport, NY, March 30, 2026 – Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital (SBELIH) Foundation is proud to recognize the continued generosity of the Mattituck Lions Club, which recently donated $10,000 to support the purchase of a blanket warmer for the hospital’s Emergency Department.
This important addition will enhance patient comfort during emergency care, particularly for those experiencing trauma, illness or extended wait times.
Foundation leadership joined representatives from the Mattituck Lions Club to celebrate the gift, including Dr. Alison Madden, Chief Medical Officer, and Linda Sweeney, Vice President of Foundation & External Affairs.
“We are incredibly grateful for the Mattituck Lions Club and their ongoing commitment to our hospital,” said Linda Sweeney. “This is one of many meaningful contributions they have made over the years, and this latest gift will have a direct impact on the patient experience in our Emergency Department. Their partnership truly reflects the strength and generosity of our North Fork community.”
The Mattituck Lions Club has been a longstanding supporter of SBELIH, consistently investing in initiatives that enhance patient care and hospital services.
In addition to their philanthropic support, SBELIH is proud to partner with the Mattituck Lions Club as a sponsor of the upcoming Mattituck Strawberry Festival, one of the region’s most beloved community events.
“We are excited to continue our partnership with the Lions Club through the Strawberry Festival,” Sweeney added. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with our community and celebrate the shared commitment to supporting local health and wellness.”
