GREENPORT, N.Y., September 22, 2019 – ELIH Auxiliary’s Dream Green raffle sold out of tickets to successfully raise $290,000 benefitting Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital! The event is always a much anticipated part of the East End Seaport Museum’s Maritime Festival and this year was as exciting as ever. Hundreds of hopeful participants gathered at Mitchel Park as 65 cash prizes were drawn one by one by Paul Connor, Chief Administrative Officer of the Hospital. Good-natured tension bubbled through the crowd leading up to a top prize winner of $50,000!
All three branches of the Eastern Long Island Hospital Auxiliary work tirelessly to raise funds for the local Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital in a variety of ways. In addition to income earned from the Corner Shop in the hospital’s lobby and the Opportunity Shop, Dream Green is one of two large cash raffles and a host of other fundraising events held throughout the year. The Auxiliary invites everyone in the community to support their mission by continuing to participate in one or more of their fun-filled events.
