The Eastern Long Island Hospital Auxiliary (ELIH Auxiliary), a group of volunteers who fundraise for Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital (SBELIH), has received a $5,000 sponsorship of hard costs including printing, mailer prep and postage from M&T Bank for the 2022 Car Raffle.
“M&T Bank believes that if our communities succeed, we all succeed. That’s why we take an active role in our communities,” said Sharon Kramer, Vice President of M&T Bank.
“It was our hope for 2022 to increase the Auxiliary’s donation to the Hospital by a sponsorship of the hard costs for this fundraiser,” stated Helene V. Fall, ELIH Auxiliary President. “With M&T Bank’s generous sponsorship, hard costs are now covered and we are one step closer to achieving our fundraising goal.”
For the past 16 years, the ELIH Auxiliary has conducted a car raffle. In 2021, a maximum of 999 tickets were sold. This year, a maximum of 1200 tickets will be sold and the Car Raffle winner has the opportunity to win a 2022 Jeep Compass or $20,000 Cash. Tickets are now available for the 2022 Car Raffle. You can purchase tickets at elih.stonybrookmedicine.edu/AUXILIARY/Events/Car-Raffle. The drawing will take place at 10am on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 in the lobby of the Hospital.
Along with the Car Raffle, the Auxiliary raises funds for needs at the SBELIH throughout the year with a variety of other exceptional events such as Dream Green. Auxilians also operate the Hospital’s Gift Shop and are the friendly hardworking faces of our Opportunity Shop located in downtown Greenport, New York. Past pledges have benefited the entire Hospital with new equipment and donations towards the Operating Room and Emergency Room. This year’s donations will be used to support future Hospital needs.
