McCall Wines Hosts Burger Night for Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital Employees

Greenport, NY, May 18, 2023 – McCall Wines hosted a special burger night for Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital (SBELIH) employees, along with local first responders, on Thursday, May 11 and Friday, May 12, 2023. The event served as a conclusion of a week’s worth of activities for SBELIH’s Nurses and Hospital Weeks, with more than 50 employees in attendance over the two evenings.

Guests were treated to a free burger made from McCall Wines’ own cattle farm. McCall Wines will host burger nights weekly throughout the spring and summer season.

“We are so grateful to Russ McCall and Nicola Plimpton for their hospitality,” said Paul J. Connor, Chief Operating Officer at SBELIH. “Both evenings were lovely, well-attended and offered a fun night out for our employees.”

“The people at McCall Wines of Cutchogue have benefited for many years from the professionals in police, fire, and medical care,” said Russ McCall, owner of McCall Wines. “We owe a debt to our local first responders. Let’s continue the tradition of free burgers as we open our business every spring.”

Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital hosted a number of events throughout Nurses and Hospital Week, including lunches, raffles, celebratory social media posts and more.
