GREENPORT, NY, July 12, 2023 - As the days get longer, the stars shine brighter, and life gets better. This was the atmosphere when the stylish Claudio's Waterfront and Eastern Long Island Hospital (ELIH) Foundation teamed up to present ‘Dancing on the Dock’ on July 12, 2023. The second annual event celebrated the spirit of the summer and benefit Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital (SBELIH).
Supporters gathered on the docks of Claudio's for an evening of dining, dancing, entertainment, and a healthy dose of “vitamin sea” while dozens of sailboats cruised by to dock. Family and friends enjoyed the waterfront setting, while generous SBELIH supporters empowered the hospital’s daily mission to achieve medical excellence and expand community outreach.
“It was a wonderful night in Greenport to celebrate our community hospital,” said Paul Connor, CAO of Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital. “I was pleased to see so many people from Stony Brook Medicine’s leadership in attendance and several doctors enjoying the evening on the dance floor. Maybe next year instead of calling the event ‘Dancing on the Dock’ we rename it ‘Dancing With The Docs’.”
“It is always a pleasure hosting this event,” said Jonathan Abbott of Claudio's Waterfront. “We are proud to partner and support our local hospital which provides phenomenal care to the North Fork and Shelter Island.”
The ELIH Foundation believes the gift of good health is one we all can cherish and proceeds from ‘Dancing on the Dock’ have a significant impact on the care patients receive. Every dollar raised stays in the community to benefit Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport. The ELIH Foundation extends its sincere thanks to everyone for their continued support.
