Community Support

At Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital (SBELIH), we continue to provide essential hospital care to our community as we care for coronavirus patients.

We are extremely grateful for the outpouring of community support we’ve received through letters of encouragement, donations of protective equipment and other contributions. Thank you for responding so generously in donating medical supplies to our hospital.

More than 100 individuals and organizations have donated everything from facemasks to gloves to isolation gowns for healthcare workers. We are also grateful to those who have donated funds to support our COVID-19 Action Fund.

We’ve received numerous inquiries about how to best support our staff with Meal Donations. We have created a Meal Train Plus page in response. Meal Train is essentially a scheduling tool for meal donations. Generous donors can reserve an available date and time on the calendar, then coordinate payment and delivery details with their restaurant of choice.

At SBELIH, our physicians and employees are caring for patients around the clock. Our hospital and medical staff leaders are focused on caring for our patients, protecting our frontline healthcare workers and ensuring that we can continue to provide care to our community.

On behalf of our dedicated healthcare workers providing care to members of our community with COVID-19 and all the community’s healthcare needs, thank you for your support. We want to hear from you! Share your message of gratitude, support or encouragement here.
