Prepares and serves high quality food for hospital patients, employees, and visitors. Follows all policies and procedures of the department and hospital with an emphasis on infection control, safety, and sanitation. Follows all procedures as they relate to the daily dietary aide’s work schedule.
Two (2) years' experience in food service preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent mandatory. Suffolk County Department of Health food manager's certificate required. Must be able to follow oral and written instruction.
Good vision and hearing. Ability to use short stepladder. Ability to lift fifty pounds. Sufficient mobility and dexterity of both arms to safely operate equipment, utensils and retrieve stock. Able to work in hot and cold environments. Standing and walking for long periods of time.
