Joining Stony Brook Medicine brings together academic and community medicine to meet our current and evolving healthcare needs. As part of this entire system, which includes Stony Brook Medicine and Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, we will further improve healthcare access and quality for the East End residents by matching patients to the right type of care in the right facility. The three hospitals will collaboratively work together to address healthcare gaps including cardiology, neurology, gynecology, pulmonology, hematology/oncology , orthopedic, as well as other clinical services.
One of the key benefits of this partnership is the shared belief that the provision of healthcare should stay local. The ELIH Foundation will continue to be governed by our local Board of Trustees, and all funds raised by the Foundation and Auxiliary will remain local.
As we look to the future, we know community needs are changing. Healthcare is evolving and we have a significant role to play in ensuring our community’s good health. In order to continue the standard of success that we have now attained, we invite you to participate in our “2020 Annual Care Campaign”.
